Frequently asked questions

Do guests need to download an app for party texts?

No. Everything happens over plain SMS. Guests scan your QR code or tap a link, send one text to opt in, and every reminder arrives as a normal text message.

How do people join my party text list?

Your party gets a unique QR code and tap-to-text link. Guests text YES once and they're on the list — consent is built in, and anyone can reply STOP to opt out at any time.

When should I send party reminder texts?

A follow-up about a week after invites go out, a reminder two or three days before, and a day-of text with the address and any details like parking or floor number. For most parties, two or three texts is plenty.

Is this better than a group chat?

For invitations and reminders, yes. Party texts are one-way: your message lands, nobody can reply-all at 1am, and guests never see each other's phone numbers.

Can guests RSVP by replying to the text?

RSVP by reply is coming soon — guests will reply YES or NO and their status will update automatically. Today, Guestloop handles scheduled reminders and delivery tracking.
